*Winchester Model 1894 Takedown Rifle 30 WCF cal. 26'' octagonal barrel S/N 269582. Takedown rifle sporting rear sight blued finish with select walnut buttstock and forearm. Comes with a copy of a quick letter from Cody. Condition: Barrel and magazine tube retain 85% of the original blue finish with some areas of storage rust that can be cleaned but leaving some flaking. Frame retains 70% of the original blue finish with some storage pitting on the left side of frame along the bottom edge; some pitting on the top of frame where the hammer meets the frame. Wood has some nicks and dings still retaining most of the original varnished finish.

Blued finish with case colored hammer lever and buttplate. Extra select walnut buttstock and forearm.?Rifle came with an original takedown canvas carrying case along with two cleaning rods in the original canvas bags?from the same period. Stated in letter from Cody:?Serial number was applied on 6-28-1895 date in 9-3-1895 Rifle 38 WCF Octagonal Barrel Plain trigger Takedown Date Shipped 6-2-1896. Condition: Barrel and magazine retain 95% of the original blue finish.?Frame retains 95% of the original blue finish with a small scratch in the left side of frame.?Lever hammer and buttplate retain most of the muted case colors just slightly faded.?Buttstock and forearm retaining all of the original finish with some very minute nicks and dings.? Bore is bright and excellent.
