Princess Mary Christmas box: World War I era Brass box dated ''Christmas 1914'' measuring 5'' x 3 1/4'' x 1 1/8''. Princess Mary the 17 year old daughter of King George V and Queen Mary created a fund via donations from the public to send a Christmas gift to everyone in uniform. The boxes were filled with various gifts such as Cigarettes or Chocolates and issued to the soldiers sailors nurses and anyone in uniform. Condition good with a few very small discolorations to finish. See images.
