Rare Bettini #4 Phonograph Gianni
Rare Bettini #4 Phonograph Gianni Bettini late of the Italian cavalry married an American and ended up in NY City during the mid-90s. He dabbled in high society and invention. He created his ''Micro-Phonograph'' attachments to improve existing Edison and Columbia machines. He also became legendary for recording the famous performers of the day. After 1901 he decamped to Paris and continued his sonic exploits creating a line of his own machines that have become among the rarest and most sought-after artifacts of the period.Condition: Rare ''concentric'' horn. EDISON C250 DIAMOND DISC PHONOGRAPH WITH RECORDSAn Edison diamond disc phonograph, model C-250, circa 1915-1920. Rich tiger oak case with casters, housing a turntable with built-in horn, and a bottom cabinet for record storage.
Offered with the lot is a collection of approximately 190 assorted records.
Condition
Tested and fully operational. The oak case has two scuffs on the left side panel, but is otherwise in beautifully restored condition. There is no key present for the lower disc cabinet, but it is unlocked. The records are in varying condition.
