COLT US ARMY MODEL 1917 45 ACP REVOLVERColt Army model 1917 .45 ACP 6 shot double action revolver. Barrel measures 5 1/2". Serial #54608 (1919). Fixed blade front and frame notch rear sights. The left side of the barrel is marked "COLT D.A. 45" with the two-line Hartford address and patent dates on the top. The underside of the barrel is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". The revolver has the correct standard unpolished blue finish with the Rampant Colt on the side plate, factory inspection marks, and a circled "JMH" final inspection mark at the top left of the frame. The butt has standard model and military serial number markings as well as a lanyard loop. Fitted with smooth grips. 85% plus original blue finish remains with some high point and muzzle wear, scattered light spotting, and a mottled gray/brown patina on the grip straps. The revarnished grips are fine and have some small handling marks and light pressure indentations. Mechanically excellent. See photos for more details on condition. COLT MODEL 1911 .45 NATIONAL MATCH US ARMY PISTOLFeatured in this lot we have a Colt Model 1911 National Match U.S. Army semi automatic pistol chambered in .45 Auto. This pistol was manufactured in 1918 by Colt for the first World War. The pistol features wonderful hand stippled trench art across the front of the grip with a Fancy T at the center. The Model 1911 is one of the most recognizable and well known American pistols and is still in production today. This early 1911 features a 5" long round barrel, checkered wooden grips, steel frame, and adjustable rear sight. The top of the barrel is marked ".45 Auto N M 7791414". The side of the slide is marked "Model of 1911. U.S. Army" on the right and PATENTED APR. 20. 1897. SEPT. 9. 1902 DEC. 19. 1905. FEB. 14. 1911. AUG. 19. 1913 COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A." on the left. The back of the slide is stamped with the rearing Colt horse on the left with a "GSH" stamped on the frame on the left with the serial number on the right. The pistol shows wonderful working condition with a smooth action, crisp trigger, and grip safety. The pistol shows good condition overall with some light wear and loss of the finish on the back of the slide. The pistol weights 2lbs 6oz. Serial Number: 219517. This firearm qualifies as a Curio & Relic firearm, and requires FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.

Condition: All metal is gunmetal grey with some staining and pitting; shows use. Original grips have been checkered over. Triggerguard has a nice untouched patina. The holster shows use and leather is supple with some cracking and crazing.

Walnut grips. Condition: All metal is very sharp and crisp retaining traces of high blue finish mixing with nice brown patina. Backstrap and triggerguard retain all of the silver-plated finish with some of it bumbling up on the backstrap and thinning. Grips retain most of the original varnish with some gone on the high lines. A very nice untouched Colt revolver.
