TIN ADVERTISING SIGN. Chromolithographed sign for the Hickman-Ebbert Co. in Owensboro Kentucky. Depicting a happy couple gathering apples alongside their Hickman-Ebbert wagon. When founding owner William Ebbert died in 1922 the company became ''The Owensboro Wagon Co.'' and existing signs were often re-painted to reflect the name change. Sign reads ''The Owensboro'' handpainted in red and yellow upper left. ''The Owensboro'' was added post-sign production. Some areas of text have been touched up. Surface wear.
