Hermann Goering Nazi Party Leader
Hermann Goering Nazi Party Leader DS Nice DS. Appears to be an invitation dated Berlin 1 Sept. 1933. This was the National Socialist Party Congress in Nuremberg ?and it marked the beginning of intensive anti-Semitic measures. At the convention Hitler railed against modern art then established the Chamber of Culture and excluded Jews from the Arts. By the end of the month they could not own land; within the week they could not be newspaper editors etc. The following year would see them banned from Labor unions health insurance the law and more.Hermann Goering (1893-1946) joined the party early. He was wounded in the Beer Hall Putsch and was given morphine for the pain which triggered a long-term addiction. In 1933 he founded the Gestapo and because of his fighter pilot background in WWI he was appointed commander of the Luftwaffe in 1935. By 1941 he was designated as Hitler's successor. Goering refused to give the Allies the "satisfaction" of executing him so after being convicted of war crimes and sentenced to death at Nuremberg Goering got a hold of?a potassium cyanide capsule (thought to have been in the pocket of some article of clothing) and committed suicide the night before his scheduled execution. Condition: Very good.
