The metal cannister, which exhibits minor outer rusting, was previously labeled in red permanent marker LUZON, CORREGIDOR CAMPAIGNS. HIROSHIMA & SURRENDER ABOARD THE U.S.S. MISSOURI. PROPERTY OF JIM HOLDER. The Battle of Luzon was fought from January�August 1945. The Battle to Recapture Corregidor took place in February 1945. The bombing of Hiroshima occurred on August 6, 1945. The formal surrender of Japan took place aboard the battleship U.S.S. Missouri on September 2, 1945. The film, which fills an entire large reel, is not examined, and was purchased at a private sale in the Midwest c. 1990.
