LOUIS XV STYLE ALABASTER MANTLE CLOCK, CA. 1890A very good late 19th century Louis XV style carved alabaster mantle clock, showing twin corbel shaped elements supporting an 8 day clock mechanism with a white enamelled chapter ring, blackened Roman numerals and sweep hands, sounding the half and full hour on a bell gong, stamped on the reverse Echappement Brevet, raised overall upon an alabaster plinth base with ormolu feet, minor wear and surface abrasions, in working condition, lacking key. Circa 1890. Height, 17.75".
