Condition: All metal is nice; the entire rifle has a coat of shellac painted over to preserve the rifle.

Condition: Excellent condition with an excellent bore. There is a bulge in the barrel but the bore has been relined to new condition. The gun retains ca 75% of the military-style added finish and the safety is not working properly. This should be repaired by a competent gunsmith prior to shooting. This is an entry level collector gun or it should make a good shooter.

  MAUSER HUNTING RIFLE, 6.5X57MM A beautiful hunting rifle built off of a Mauser 98 receiver by an unidentified gunsmith. The rifle features a round barrel with a solid sight rib running it's full length mounted to a simply engraved receiver both in a deep blue finish. The furniture consist of a Mannlicher-style stock with horn tip, fine checkering to the grips, and a raised cheek rest on the left side. The rifling is in near perfect condition with bright defined lines, the stock is largely undamaged outside of some sticker residue and slight bug damage to the buttplate, and one of the locking screws forward of the magazine plate is damaged.
