THREE NYMPHENBURG PORCELAIN CHINOISERIE FIGURESTHREE NYMPHENBURG PORCELAIN CHINOISERIE FIGURES , 20th Century, impressed Bavarian shield marks to the bases and undersides, model nos. 77, and 154, after the models by Franz Anton Bustelli, each modeled in contrapposto pose, on a flat scroll-edged base, enriched in gilt, including a Chinese sage, 'Chinesischer Gelehrter' depicted standing in traditional richly decorated robes and gilt trimmed hat, his head bowed, and left hand raised in a blessing, a large volume tucked at his side; a Chinese man greeting, 'Chinese Grussend', depicted as a young reverent Chinese man bowing, his forehead resting in his right hand, in traditional blue, puce and yellow robes; and a Chinese figure with bird, 'Chinesin mit Vogel', depicted striding with arms out, a tethered bird in her right hand, the jess end in her left, wearing a traditional hexagonal hat, blue striped yellow shift and iron-red skirt, h: 8 in. (the tallest) (3) Provenance: Estate of Ronald Sperling Literature: First created by Franz Anton Bustelli circa 1757 as part of the series 'Chinese in the Temple', these sacral figures all show deference and court the Bonze's favor through their expressive postures.

THREE GERMAN PORCELAINS: oval centerpiece bowl encrusted with flowers gold rim 11.5''L x 7''W; together with the set of two figurines a man carrying furniture for repair 8''H; together with the woman with wheelbarrow 6.5''H; each with ''Capodimonte'' maker's mark Ernst Bohne Sons Germany. The pieces are in good overall condition with light wear throughout but the man has a few small chips to the glaze and the bowl has a few chips to the flowers.
