Handwritten label verso reads: "This portrait relined, and new stretchers furnished by Beers Bros., 110 W. 30, NYC, January 1943. Original stretcher preserved in the home of Mrs. Bartlett Arkell, 15 W 10, NYC, William MacBeth, Junr., by RW McIntyre, Pres. 11 E. 57, NYC." Bartlett Arkell (1862-1946) was one of the founders of the Beech-Nut Packing Company, and for fifty years its president.

EXTERIOR: Majority of exterior surfaces have been repainted /refinished with some variances in quality and age of repairs noted. Some small pinholes in finish with surface corrosion noted in a few areas. Severe bubbling,peeling and finish loss to all four (4) alloy wheels.Light to moderate pitting, hazing and loss to chrome trim on the majority of exterior chrome surfaces. More severe on bumper cover chrome inserts front and rear. Misalignment to front bumper noted at both left and right fender to bumper seams. Band of abrasion to right hand (passenger’s side ) bumper. Area of breakage ( approx. 4 “wide) to paint on front bumper cover lower right hand ( passenger’s side) front corner. Larger ( approx.4”) area of finish loss to left hand ( driver’s side) area of the front bumper cover. Numerous other small to medium-sized chips, dings, and scratches to the front bumper cover. Bumper to fender liner attachment screw missing. dulling and finish loss to bumper cover chrome detail strip. Several small spots of rust bubbling to front edge of hood. Area of touch up along with some light rust formation and bubbling on upper wheel arch area of left hand ( driver’s side) front fender. Corrosion and loss to chrome on the front left hand ( driver’s side) front fender trim strip. Finish loss to front left hand (driver’s side) pin stripping; note that the pin stripping present on the left hand (driver’s side) of the vehicle has several areas of loss and inconsistency in the stripe work. Some deterioration to rubber on lower door to rocker seal on front left hand (driver’s side) weather seal. Long light to moderate scratch running laterally the full length of left hand (driver’s side) quarter panel. Severe finish loss , dulling, and wear to rear bumper cover. Small split on lower portion on rear bumper cover approx 2” long located under bumper over not readily visible from street level. Small vehicle impression approx. 2 ½ “ long on right hand ( passenger’s side) rear bumper cover. Numerous other chips, scratches, and license plate/parking lot damage in the rear bumper cover. Some corrosion noted on hinge mounting brackets of decklid. Area of poor quality touch up approx. 8” long by 2” wide in top of wheel arch area of right hand ( passenger’s side) quarter panel. Some additional finish loss and corrosion noted on wheel lip edge on right hand ( passenger’s side ) quarter panel. Application inconsistencies noted in body side pin stripping . Small parking lot ding with paint chip to the center of right hand ( passenger’s side) quarter panel. Dent to chrome on outside belt line weatherstrip on the rear right hand ( passenger’s side) door. Light scratch with shallow ding in front right hand ( passenger’s side) front door in center of door. Area ( approx 1”) of damage to paint on right hand (passenger’s side) mirror mount. Some light abrasions and one slightly heavier abrasion to right hand ( passenger’s side ) side view mirror housing. Area of heat warping/ damage to right hand (passenger’s side) windscreen trim insert . Numerous underhood fasteners exhibit heavy corrosion. Some visible fasteners on chassis also exhibiting heavy corrosion. INTERIOR: Some wear and soiling noted to front right hand( driver’s side) seat consistent with age and use. A couple of small spots of finish loss were noted to piping on the outside seat back bolster. Some soiling and wear to right hand ( passenger’s side) front seat; consistent with age and use. Area of heavier soiling noted to transmission hump in rear passenger Niger compartment. Factory floor mats present in trunk; one mat exhibiting bleach staining.
