*Savage Model 1899 Lever Action Rifle .30 WCF cal. 23.75'' barrel S/N 50847. Brass cartridge counter tang sight. Condition: Good condition with a very good bore. The receiver has the name ''Reco'' engraved on the right side and a game scene on the left side featuring a bear and a deer. The engraving is very amateurish and there is no finish on the receiver. The barrel is made from a Rock Island Arsenal military model 1903 barrel dated 9-18. This gun should be checked by a competent gunsmith before attempting to shoot it. the wood is sanded and refinished with poor repairs.

Condition: Barrel is grey with some black staining scattered throughout the barrel. Lockplate is a deep dark brown mixed with some pitting.? Stock still has an open-grained look but very dirty and would clean excellent.? Also has two excellent cartouches.

Lockplate?and hammer retain most of the case coloring just slightly faded. ?Stock is excellent with nice cartouche and open-grained look.

Still retains a good cartouche; the stock has a cut out where the receiver sight was added. Bore is excellent.

Condition: All metal is sharp and crisp. Barrel and magazine has a coat of shellac painted on the metal to preserve the metal underneath which it is a nice plum with traces of blue finish. Frame is sharp and crisp with a nice brown patina. Buttstock and forearm have a dark patina. Bore is good; will clean to better.
