The assembly number (92) matches on the cylinder latch, frame and crane. The left side of the frame is marked with the circled Rampant Colt. No cylinder stops. Checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" in an ovaat the tops. Revolver has overall age appropriate wear with finish loss, pitting and oxidation. Revolver does not cycle properly. Grips have loss. Serial number stamped on the bottom of barrels and also on the inside of the right grip frame at the top. Marked on the left side on the rib E. Remington & Sons Ilion New York and on the right rib Elliot's Patent Dec 12 1865. Rosewood grips. Condition: All metal is gunmetal grey mixed with some light scattered pitting with minute traces of the original plated finish in the protected ares. Some traces of blue on the hammer mixing with some light pitting. The lines are very sharp and crisp. Grips are excellent. Hinges are good with no cracks or splits. A very rare cartridge deringer.
