Civil War Casualty List Plus Period Buttons 2pp manuscript dated April 12th 1865 at Head Quarters 69th Ind Vols Near Spanish Fort Ala. reading: By inserting the following list of wounded of the 69th Ind in your paper you will confer a great favor upon their many friends who will be anxiously waiting to know the result of the assault by the 13th Corps upon the rebel works at Blakely Ala. on Sunday Evening the 9th inst. in which the Old 69th took a conspicuous part. followed by the names and injuries of 15 soldiers such as Thomas Ford Priv. Co.C left foot blown of by torpedo and an account of the battle signed by Maberry M. Lacey Adjutant of the 69th Ind. PLUS three uniform buttons featuring patriotic shield eagles encircled by the letters NHDVS (National Home for Disabled Veteran Soldiers). Condition: Scattered minor stains wear at edges.
