ANTIQUE SETH THOMAS NO. 17 REGULATOR CLOCK. A large ca. 1900 Seth Thomas regulator wall clock, finial top with carved door and styles, 14” dial, with single weight and pendulum, overall 72”H x 23”W x 10”D.

Some paint loss to the dial and interior wooden plate. The reverse tab has been poorly touched up. some filled in holes on the bottom of the case. Condition reports are available on all items. SETH THOMAS WALL REGULATOR CLOCKSeth Thomas wall regulator clock, single weight driven movement and engraved brass pendulum, enamel dial with Roman numerals, in a mahogany case with carved swan's neck pediment, husk and foliate carvings to frieze and lower waist, glass door with beaded aperture, and a reeded base with drop finial. 82" H x 21" W x 9" D. 20th century or earlier.
Condition:
Case possibly associated. Paint splatter and loss to carving on drop ornament at base of case, crazing to dial. No finial present at pediment. Small losses to carving on pediment. Some small holes to backboard. Works not checked or guaranteed to be complete or functional. Added modern reinforcements.

Seth Thomas #2 Regulator Clock ca. 1920's Walnut wood case 12" original painted dial with seconds dial original #77A movement Arabic numerals.
Seth Thomas (1785-1859) apprenticed to a carpenter and then when 22 years of age he joined the firm Terry and Hoadley in clock making. He then started his clock factory in Plymouth Hollow and remained there until his death in 1859. He was regarded as one of the most honest and successful clock makers of his time. He is one of the most recognized makers even in modern time.

A CIRCA 1886 SETH THOMAS REGULATOR NO. 14 OR 15 CASE FITTED WITH A NO. 69 OR 69A MOVEMENT, THE CASE HAVING WALNUT AND BURLED VENEERS...A circa 1886 Seth Thomas Regulator No. 14 or 15 case fitted with a No. 69 or 69A movement, the case having walnut and burled veneers on a base with a lockable door, the 14 inch silvered very heavy brass dial is unrestored, the heavy cast iron brass faced and damascened pendulum hangs from a large cast bracket behind the knurled brass cased, single weight, the case has original finish and overall condition is excellent. One side return in the crest is unglued, the movement is a No. 69 or 69A with lantern pinions and Graham deadbeat escapement; this is a very impressive, high quality clock that is rarely available, the movement has no missing or broken parts, it rotates freely with finger pressure and manual pendulum crutch motion, it needs cleaning; 100" h.
