Victorian Silverplate Platter, dated by British design registry number to 1897, by James Deakin & Sons, Sheffield, of circular form, with a broad openwork rim of scrolling acanthus quartered by cornucopia-flanked classical masques, the plateau engraved with a broad band of scrolling acanthus and flowers, raised on four cast classical masque feet, dia. 24", h. 2-3/4".
