  A Chinese Carved Ivory Chess Set with Custom Made Case/Game Board The 32 finely carved ivory figures are cradled inside fitted box with inlaid wood game board; half are in natural color with pigmented accents and the other half are dyed a light brown color. Red and white satin lining in the interior of the box. Covering each side is a silk covered board with red brocade on the outside and a tab and padded blue silk on the underside held in with turn buttons. The case is hinged and has a decorative brass Oriental style lock. Each queen figure and Imperial eunuch is signed. The figural chess pieces range between 2-1/2"T and 5-1/2"T. Case measures apprx. 4-7/8"T x 12"W x 23-7/8"L closed.
