Pair of Sandstone Plates with Fossilized Fish, (Knightia eocaena), ca. 50 million years old, discovered in the Green River Formation, Wyoming, the buff-colored plates with clear specimens, one with two fossils, the other with one, dia. 5-1/4". These fish were victims of a sudden extinction and are members of the herring family.
