Provenance: The Mercer Kitchen, Mercer Hotel, New York. Note: The Mercer Kitchen at the Mercer Hotel was designed by Christian Liaigre in 1997, with an industrial aesthetic softened by luxurious comfort. This Japanese-inspired standing bronze lantern from the reception area dates from the original Liaigre 1997 design and predates the 2023 renovation. Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Mercer Kitchen was a landmark restaurant for celebrities, food lovers, and New Yorkers.
