BRONZE HERCULES SCULPTURE 16" x 9 ½" x 5 ?" Patinated bronze sculpture of a classical nude male, cloth draped around the midsection, one wrist with remnants of chains. On black square base. Artist rendition of the myth prior to the twelve labors. According to some versions, Hercules murders his children, is declared mad and put in chains to restrain his unnatural strength. He would go on to accomplish all the labors as atonement for his crime.

BRUCE PEEBLES TALL WOOD SCULPTURE, 3 FIGURESBruce Peebles (American/Tennessee, 1963-2016) carved figural wood sculpture titled "Sacred Gathering," depicting three intertwined standing figures with abstracted faces. Signed/inscribed on one leg with title and dated 1/26/90. 70"H x 19"W x 15"D. Note: Peebles was a Nashville based artist known for his sculpture in wood, metal and sound. He drew much of his inspiration from his time in Africa, where he worked alongside sculptors from the Shona tribe. He died of pancreatic cancer in 2016 at the age of 53.
