A Poole pottery ovoid vase
A Poole pottery ovoid vase painted in colours with medallions on a white ground with green foliage impressed mark Poole England and decorators marks 10.75in. Estimate ?150-250 Ground colour is slightly greyish white colour there is some slight crazing to the glaze and some slight firing faults to the glaze all over there the bubbles have burst and where some of the enamel colours have not quite taken there is a curving indentation of about 2 inches to one of the flower roundels at the shoulder height underneath there is general crazing to the thickish glaze over the terracotta body. Also glazed in matte yellow ochre is a small bowl 1-3/4"H x 4-1/4"D molded with a geometric design in low relief marked with logo mold number and XIX (1919) underneath.
