CERAMIC SCULPTURAL LIDDED TEAPOT BY ARTIST KEN FERGUSON...Bisque stoneware ceramic with rabbit motifs to handle and legs.
A ceramic sculptural teapot decorated with motifs of rabbits and rabbit ears. Dark colors with russet elements. Separate lid. Titled TRIPOD HARE TEAPOT, sculpted in a whimsical industrial style by American ceramist Ken Ferguson (1928-2005), best known for his stoneware incorporating sculptures of hares. His work is displayed at The Brooklyn Museum, the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Victoria and Albert Museum, among many others. Includes a copy of the invoice from the purchase at Garth Clark Gallery in New York.
