CA. 1956 9K GOLD ROAMER SWISS WATCH W/ GOLD BANDThis is an original Roamer Premier Swiss made watch in a solid 9 karat yellow gold case dating to circa 1956. The watch case is marked BWC, likely British Watch Case Company and shows the .375 gold stamped for 9 karat / carat gold along with the Edinburgh British hallmark and "A" date mark placing the date of the watch at 1956. The watch movement is Swiss made Roamer Watch Co. with a manual wind seventeen 17 jewels movement. The face shows gold pointed indices with the numbers 12 / 3 / 9 all in gold with the dial marked ROAMER Premier at the center and SWISS MADE on the bottom. Below the case hardened style hands is the seconds dial marked above with INCABLOC and shows the small sweeping seconds hand. The watch shows an expandable 1950's period band which is marked Excalibur Reg. 860662 1/10 12 CT. R. GOLD / FT Model "50" Made in England 072, being thick 1/10 rolled 12 karat yellow gold. The case back is also marked on the inside London Made 63884. The watch winds up and works, appearing to keep good time. Beautiful, rare 9 karat solid gold cased swiss made watch with fantastic vintage style, could be worn by both a man or woman, truly a stylish piece.

See images. Telephotolens has some wear on the barrel wrap, and it needs to be cleaned. The 35mm is clean. Both focus smoothly and aperture rings function as they should. Camera body has some oxidation on the back panel and front dials. Shutter curtain and pressure plate are clean. Shutter speeds from 10 to 1000 are smooth, but B and 1, 2 and 5 stick in the open position until the speed dial is moved to 10, then it releases just fine.
