COMMEMORATIVE CHAIR FOR THE INVESTITURE OF CHARLES AS PRINCE OF WALES: Designed by John Pound. Chair was used by the US delegate who attended the ceremony in July 1969 with First Lady Pat Nixon. Guests were allowed to purchase these chairs, a total of 4600 were produced. Red stained wood with gold embossed feathers & motto ''Ich Dein'', cushioned seat and pillow. Measures Approx. 31'' x 21 1/4'' x 22 1/2''. Provenance: Estate of Gerry Van Der Heuvel-Donovan, Pat Nixon's press secretary.

BRUMBY CANED PORCH ROCKING CHAIR: Appalachian Red Oak construction, signed under arm. Trivia: John F. Kennedy made his rocker famous when he installed it in the Oval Office to ease his ailing back. Jimmy Carter brought five of his Jumbos (a rocker style designed by Thomas Brumby in 1875) to Washington. Abraham Lincoln enjoyed his until the day of his assassination on April 14, 1865. He was sitting in his upholstered rocker at Ford's Theater when John Wilkes Booth fired the fatal bullet.
