EXHIBITED FRED SCHMIDT PAINTING, LITTLE RED RIVERFred Schmidt (Arkansas, 20th Century) oil on paper landscape painting titled "Little Red River" depicting a bridge situated over the Little Red River in Arkansas, a line of trees and a mountain range visible in the background. Signed "Fred Schmidt" lower right. The Arkansas Arts Center, Little Rock, AR exhibition label with artist's information and notation that this painting received a purchase award from the foundation during the 24th Annual Delta Art Exhibition, 1981, exhibition label from the Delta exhibition, with additional ink inscriptions, en verso. Float mounted and housed under plexiglass in a silver metal frame. Sheet: 40" H x 46" W. Sight: 41 1/2" H x 47 3/4" W. Framed: 42 1/4" H x 48 1/2" W.
Deaccessioned by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation to benefit the acquisitions fund.
Condition:
Overall very good condition with minute areas of loss, largest 1/4", to right edge of sheet. Not examined outside of frame.
