Cobalt decorated and molded stoneware root beer canteen 19th century With 'Bardwell's Root Beer' on one side and a mountainous landscape and deer on the other. H: 10 3/4 in. W: 10 in. PROVENANCE: Private Collection, Connecticut; Private Collection, New Jersey. Minor wear to raised edge surrounding deer, chips and wear to feet, two cracks in one side (one 1 in. and one 2 in.) and a small pit, small pits to leaves on other side and wear to lip and handle.

ATTRIBUTED TO CARL WöRNER, FOLK ART SODA PARLOR IN A BOTTLE Early 20th century, a vintage glass bottle is the container for a tableau composed of a small wood carvings depicting "Soft Drink Parlor" with a bartender and two customers drinking beer, the bottom layer with hidden figure, which is a stylistic signature of Carl Wörner, possible pencil signature partially visible to underside interior wooden components.
