Microscopic analysis and conservation of all the surviving gilt and verdigris decoration was performed by Robert Mussey and Associates, Boston. Original top with scratches and minor stains, frame with old surface with scattered losses and distress, toes of one front foot likely an old restoration, some veneer losses at bases of column supports, restored strip/molding in lower shelf with some associated losses (probably repairing a shrinkage separation)
