of rounded shape, depicting Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, against a earth toned ground of dark green and burnt orange. Adam and Eve dressed in leaves, holding stakes are depicted on either side of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, baring the forbidden fruit, and the snake is wrapped around the tree trunk. inscribed illegibly and factory mark on bottom . height: 39 cm (15 3/8 in.).
CONDITION
The jug appears in good condition. Fine, stable and age-appropriate craquelure overall. Loss of paint to tree of knowledge and forbidden fruit, most notably to the lower right. Lower right on side of jug shows white paint splatter. Inspection under UV shows no apparent signs of restoration.
