A Blue & White "Aster" Dish A porcelain blue and white aster dish of ribbed form with a barbed rim raised on a ring foot decorated in the cavetto with repeated panels enclosing a single blossoming aster flower painted in underglaze blue. In the well of the dish are four aster flowers on a ground of scrolling swirls. On the foot is a double line border and decorated on the exterior with two swirled clouds. Apprx. 1-5/8"T x 8-1/2"D. Diam.; and a double-handled painted bowl 5 1/4 in. Diam. Estimate $ 150-200 All have some accretion. The double-handled bowl is repaired and has considerable losses.
