16th century French School painting, allegory of Odor, seated and holding a vase of flowers in one hand and a stem of lilies in the other, dog at her right arm, inscribed at left Odoratus , oil on canvas, French School-Fontainebleau, 37-1/2 x 46-1/2 in.; early stained wood frame. Retacked to verso of frame after being shipped separately from frame, lacking stretcher, eleven holes or tears, recently cleaned, flaking, craquelure; verso frame with rosehead nails. Collection of a Gentleman, Memphis, Tennessee.

They appear to be satyrs who are often described as accompanying the hunters in myths.
