Provenance: Notes:The "Norse Wall House" is located at 7 Cottage Street, Provincetown, on the site of an abandoned salt works, according to the website Building Provincetown: The History of Provincetown Told Through its Built Environment , buildingprovincetown.wordpress.com. In 1854, when excavation began on the cellar for the house, a wall of masonry was found. Early historians posited it was built by Norseman Thorvald Ericsson, who was driven ashore during an exploration voyage and made camp to repair his ship on a cape, possibly Cape Cod, in about 1004. The cottage was thus nicknamed the Norse Wall House.

Withstanding fire warfare family misfortune and changing fashions Haddon Hall has changed little over the recent centuries and it provides a unique view of early English life and history.
