Two Delft blue and white tobacco jars: blue decoration on white grounds, one inscribed "Spaanse", the other "Straatsburg", fitted with brass lids, now mounted as lamps (not drilled), 11-1/4 in. and 10-1/2 in. including lids, on modern wood and brass bases. Both with glaze wear and pitting especially to rims and bases, Spaanse with minor rim chips and one 2 in. professional restoration and star crack in side, both with Velcro mats and adhesive residue on bottoms, lids polished and possibly later.

Delft Blue and White Pottery Pyriform Tobacco Jar, fourth quarter 18th century, by The Three Bells (De Drie Glocken) factory (active 1671-ca. 1819), the facade with a floral garlanded cartouche reading "Varinas", fitted with a turned brass cover, overall h. 11-1/4", dia. 7". A similar pair of Delft tobacco jars is in the collection of the Toledo Museum of Art, Toledo, Ohio.
