Mahogany, glazed doors containing 3 shelves, slant front desk with 5 drawers below and 6 interior drawers with door and 4 cubby holes. Two keys are included. Losses to molding and edges on top of secretary. Repairs to reeded molding. Cracking and damage to wood on bottom of glass cabinet. Scratches to leather inset. Top 3 drawers are sunken into piece. One drawer pull and lock plate missing. Knob of left slant front support is loose. Splitting to wood on left and right sides of desk. Scratches and wood loss throughout feet. Bottom of frame and glass on right door is loose. Separation from piece to one back panel. Top does not sit properly to desk.

Two candle slides. Lower case with slant lid opening to fitted interior with mirrored prospect door two over three drawers on bracket feet. Rich color with mellow finish. 91.5''h. 39.25''w. 21.75''d. Refinished replaced hardware. It's likely a marriage between an 18th century desk and a 19th century bookcase. Additionally the feet/base are replaced and the desk lid may be replaced (it has repairs along the hinge rail).

English, late 18th to early 19th century, lacquered with painted decoration. In two parts, the crested top over bowfront asymmetrical doors, the key intact, revealing three shelves, the lower portion a fall-front desk of multiple compartments above three long drawers, and supported on cabriole legs of ball and claw feet. Thoroughly hand-painted to the exterior and interior with figures in garden scenes, peacocks, butterflies, hummingbirds, and dragonflies.
