  4 EUROPEAN POTTERY ITEMS, MAJOLICA & LONGWY1st-2nd items: Two (2) majolica hand-painted portrait tiles, likely Italian, depicting Renaissance-style bust portraits of a male and female with scrolling foliate border to lower edge. Unmarked. Both mounted to wooden panels with hanging loops, en verso. Tiles approximately 13" H x 6 1/2" W x 1 1/4" D. Panels: 15" H x 9 1/2" W x 1" D. Late 19th/early 20th century. 3rd-4th items: Two (2) Emaux de Longwy, France enamel pottery items, including one (1) centerpiece bowl with scrolling foliate decorations on a blue ground, a scalloped rim, and two handles (2 3/4" H x 10 3/4" W); and one (1) square tile depicting a tropical scene with birds in a quatrefoil border on a blue ground housed in a wooden frame (9 3/4" square). Green maker's mark stamp and additional numeral ink inscriptions to underside of bowl. Circa 1955-85. The collection of Dr. Andrew Wilkerson, by descent from the estate of Vernon and Vicki Meche, Iron City, Tennessee. Condition: All items in overall good condition. Majolica tiles with surface grime, scattered, minute areas of loss to surface (possibly in the making). Tile markings likely obscured by frames. Longwy items with crazing, minor losses to enamel.
