Overall in good condition; arms and legs have been overpainted; clothes are of period design but not original; legs need to be tightened; hair appears to be original. Hairline crack on forehead above right eye which is only visible by blacklight.

  FRENCH TETE JUMEAU BEBE BISQUE SOCKET HEAD DOLL c. 1879-1899 having long brown wig fixed blue paperweight eyes closed mouth painted features pierced ears ball jointed composition body nicely dressed. Marked in red on back of head: Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDG 10; stamped in blue on body: Jumeau Medaille D'Or Paris. Height: 21 inches. The doll's head is in good overall condition with light wear throughout but it has two small chips to the underside at the edge of the hole at the bottom the neck and a very small chip to one ear. There is glue residue on the head and the head has no visible hairline cracks.

Marked in red Tete Jumeau at base of neck. Length 21''. In green velvet fur trimmed dress and matching hat. N.B. Note attached dated 1989 paid $4800. The head is in good condition with light wear throughout and no hairline cracks but there is a very small repair to her nose some soiling and glue residue.? The body has a few repairs cracks and chips.
