  A Empire Style Silver Paper Weight with Gold Wash The figural paper weight has French Minerva mark (first standard mark for 1838) on the underside and on the top of the base and a worn diamond shape swan mark on the underside. Also stamped digits on the underside "2040Z". It measures apprx. 2-1/4" x 1-1/8" x 2"H and weighs apprx. 3.03 toz. It is in the form of a rectangular architectural base with patera at the corners and anthemion designs on the sides surmounted by an eagle with spread wings standing in a laurel wreath and flanked by cornucopia.
