A Large Chinese Porcelain Jar with Gilt Mounts The hand decorated porcelain baluster form vase has been mounted on an ormolu base of a laurel wreath atop a gilt metal bracket-foot base. It has a carved and pierced gilt wood lid and an ormolu flame finial. The porcelain is hand decorated in emerald green iron red and accent colors of lavender and yellow depicting birds on a flowering branch in two panels and scholar's items in two panels on the sides bordered by foliate and geometric designs. Overall the piece measures apprx. 19-1/2"H.
