  Josef Lorenzl (1892-1950) an Art Deco silvered bronze and ivory figure of a dancer on onyx base signed LORENZL Made in Austria 13.5ins Estimate ?1 500-2 000 This is an original there is a crack to the ivory on the head which runs around from the right ear under the chin and across the left hand side of the face and up into the hair and a smaller crack within the folds of the hair the one hand is loose and with chips to three fingers the other hand has chips to two fingers and the loss of the little finger some light scratching and putting to the silvering of the bronze but otherwise generally ok heaviest to the raised foot. Onyx with a couple of light scratches and tiny little knocks at edge but otherwise ok. Clearly marked Lorenzl to the side of the base. Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear imperfections or the effects of aging.
