Having worked part-time in the summer for successive years in Barcelona, Madame Lanvin forged a familial relationship with her employer, Madame Valenti. Later, Madame Lanvin would open a boutique in Barcelona which was under the management of one of Valenti's daughters.

  FRENCH NANCY CRYSTAL PERFUME BOTTLEDESCRIPTION: An Art Deco cameo glass perfume bottle with magenta pink glass casing by Cristalleries de Nancy. The design features sprays of stylized poppies against a frosted background. The cameo design is accented with cut details at the shoulder and at the top of the hollow blown stopper. The base is acid stamped “Cristal Nancy France” and numbered 22. This design was made in several different overlay colors including green, cobalt blue and ruby and amethyst. The design was probably created by Auguste Houillon, the company artistic director. Cristalleries de Nancy was established in 1921 and after winning the gold medal at the 1925 Art Deco Exhibition in Paris, it became the primary challenger to Daum during the Art Deco era.   3 OLD FRENCH PERFUME BOTTLES, LE PARISIENThree vintage perfume bottles, including a French circa 1910 Le Parisien atomizer with art glass body in the manner of Rene Lalique. (The hardware needs to be mended, as the top has come off, and it is not apparent whether something is missing.) The glass is in fine condition, with only a small fleabite along the bottom edge. The faceted blue bottle with partial atomizer hardware is presumed to be French. The ball with the opalescent swirl might be American, and the hardware appears to be more 1940s-50s. Tallest bottle measures a little over 6" high.
