HAND-PAINTED BAVARIAN ART NOUVEAU VASE Depicting young woman in jewels and fine clothing holding a rose, in a baluster-shaped escutcheon painted with gilt geometric clouds, the green lustre body with gilt-edged purple lustre leaves snaking around the rim and foot, the underside with an unknown green mark, the initials "E.S." and a crown over "Germany." 10" H. Some wear to purple lustre.

RIESSNER & KESSEL AMPHORA TURN TEPLITZ, BOHEMIA 11 ½" x 6 ¾" Art Nouveau vase by Riessner, Stellmacher & Kessel, est. 1892. Ovoid form with a thick molded floral band at the neck on a pedestal foot decorated with a series of intertwined stylized roots. The neck and foot have been glazed in a matte green with gilt highlights. The body with two gilt stylized branch handles. Body in a mottled matte glaze and iridescent band depicting an armorial crest in black with gilt details, flanked by rampant lions. Marked to the underside with circular "Imperial Amphora Turn" and impressed crown, two oval cartouches; "Amphora" and "Austria". Also marked with the impressed numbers "11628 / 58".

A beautiful Royal Doulton Art Nouveau vase, signed by artist WALTER NUNN (active 1897-1910), with a central portrait of two early Victorian men in an English tavern in a motif that evokes the works of Dickens. Hand decorated in exquisite subdued palette of pink red, green, blue and other colors. Glazed. Impressed mark to base IVORY, reflected the base color of the stoneware. Stamped to base ROYAL DOULTON.
