Signed, titled, and dated to the reverse. Presented in a black float frame that measures 31" x 44 1/2".
Victor Ash came to prominence as a graffiti writer in the 1980s, as a member of influential French crew BBC, along with Jayone and Skki. His best known work is "Astronaut/Cosmonaut" (2007), a seven-story mural in Berlin so popular that it has been deemed a tourist attraction. His studio work has earned him solo exhibitions from New York to Tokyo.
Provenance : A private collection; previously, urban art gallery Art in the Game (London gallery representative for the artist) shipped the work to the United States for CONTEXT Art Miami , 2017.
Condition
Very good condition, noting that the black fabric tape that wraps the edges of the canvas for a crisp mounted appearance is presently loose.
