OLD MASTER, CHRIST APPEARING TO MARY MAGDALENEOld Master allegorical oil on canvas, likely depicting Christ appearing to Mary Magdalene just after his resurrection, holding a gardening spade as the surprised woman kneels before him. Housed in a gilt wooden frame with rope molded border and beaded interior edge. Sight - 32 3/8" H x 27" W. Framed - 38" H x 32 3/4" W. 18th century or earlier.
Condition:
Old relining with older inpainting. Light craquelure with a couple minor surface abrasions. Minor losses to frame. Refer to blacklight photos.
