The author Selig Hecht was the Vice-President of the Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists for which Albert Einstein was President. Einstein praises the book in his letter to Nuveen for giving a clear account of nuclear fission.

  An Enameled Glass Atomizer and A Bohemian Glass Scent Bottle The amethyst color glass atomizer with metal top, gold silk hose, bulb and tassel, stands approx. 7"H. The exterior is hand enameled with geometric designs and stylized flowers, picked out in gilt. The Bohemian glass scent bottle with stopper is white cut back to ruby glass, once decorated with scrolls of gilt now worn off. It has a faceted clear glass rim below the silver collar; matching stopper. Approx. 6-3/4"H.

Bomb features Chinese emblems on each end; tube and wand feature leather instead of usual wooden accents. Tube 5” high. Wand shows wear and patina; plastic veneer beginning to peel on bomb; very good. Unique in this composition.
