Boris Cenic (Yugoslavian,
Boris Cenic (Yugoslavian, 1921-?), abstract cityscape, oil on canvas; 19 1/2" x 23 1/2"; signed lower right. A painter in the French Impressionist tradition, Cenic was born in 1921 in the former Yugoslavia and came to Paris in 1948 as a refugee. His paintings have been exhibited in the U.S. as well as abroad.

2PC LEONARD BASKIN FIGURE PORTRAIT LITHOGRAPHS Massachusetts, New York,1922-2000Includes a depiction of a bearded man covering his face with one hand against an orange background, and a depiction of a red nude figure against a pale gray background. Baskin studied sculpture with Maurice Glickman at the Educational Alliance in New York City before studying abroad at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere in Paris. Later, he studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence where he was able to familiarize himself with the Great European Collections.
