CHARLES X ECCLESIASTICAL GILDED BEDSTEAD/BALDACCHINO early 19th century originally used in religious processions to carry a representation of a saint the serpentine domed hood surmounted by a gilded sphere and pierced crucifix continuing to fabric panels on the top and sides each elaborately embroidered in gold and silver thread and semiprecious stones with Christian and Hebrew symbols including a tablet inscribed with the ten commandments a dove and a lamb all trimmed with gold fringe; the cornice of gilded acanthus molded pressed tin over circular turned posts surmounted by urnform finials and joined by hinged collapsible rails on circular tapering legs fitted with hinged carrying rail at each corner - ($14 800.00) h:88 w:80 d:60 in.
