Classical eight-day shelf clock, mahogany with mahogany veneers, carved eagle above three pairs ebonized half columns, wooden face with gilt spandrels, lower eglomise panel with possibly Mt. Vernon, original label "C.&L.C. Ives, Bristol, Conn.", probably original surface, with weight, pendulum and key, 38 x 16-3/4 x 6 in. Traces of gilt decoration on columns, losses to eglomise panel, upper glass panel replaced and not painted, minor separations and losses. Estate of the Late Jack Capell, Montgomery, Alabama.
