[Advertising] Bronze Tavern Plaques Lot of 3 bronze plaques dated copyrighted 1936 1937 and 1938 by Dehls & Stein of Newark N.J. each 8.625'' x 11.625'' x 0.625'' thick. 1936 edition features two griffins around a barrel with brewing tools and surrounded by hops vines with the German text Hopfen und Malz Gott erhalts(God save hops and malt); 1937's with the same text and a similar motif but with a king raising his stein; and 1938's showing three men illustrating the tradition of testing a beer's sugar content by pouring it on a wooden bench sitting on it and standing to see if their leather breeches stuck (if they did the beer was considered satisfactory) with corresponding German text. Condition: Excellent.
