Cased Set of Belgian Percussion Pistols 54 caliber rifled 11" tapered round barrels. With raised engraved soldier standing with a pole arm on top of barrel at breech. Raised engraved lock plate with soldier holding a pole arm. Engraved brass furniture checkered walnut stock with empire-style butt.? Pistols are?housed in a French form fitted mahogany case with rosewood accessories and?maroon lining. Condition: Both pistols with nice light patina and are very sharp and crisp.? Accessories are excellent.? Case is very nice.? Stocks are excellent and interesting; the tips appear to be replaced at first glance but on careful examination they are as made.

BELGIAN DOUBLE BARREL PERCUSSION
BELGIAN DOUBLE BARREL PERCUSSION LOCK SHOTGUN, 12 BORE A finely made double-barrel, percussion-lock shotgun bearing proof marks from the Belgian proofing house at Liege. The rib between the barrels is engraved "Laminated Steel" near the chambers and marked with the serial number "1319" on the right barrel underneath the handguard. The barrels are mounted to dark wood stock with fine checkering on the grip and handguard. Both lock plates, the hammers and the trigger guard have decorative floral engravings. The original ram rod is missing and has been replaced with a round stick of ash. The firearm is in overall fair condition aesthetically with some minor aesthetic issues as well as some more significant damage (See condition notes). The gun appears to be in overall fine mechanical condition with good sear engagement and smooth hammer travel. OAL: 46", BBL: 30", LoP: 14", Caliber: 12 Bore Black Powder, Shot only.

Double-Barrel Percussion Pistol
Double-Barrel Percussion Pistol by P. Vallee of Philadelphia .60 cal. smoothbore 7'' round double barrels silver line inlaid at breech. Back-action percussion locks left lock is engraved Phila in script; right side engraved P. Vallee in script. Iron triggerguard with pineapple finial and iron ramrod ferule; German silver escutcheons and butt-cap. Finely figured wood stock with checkered handle. This pistol was featured on page 11 in the AS of AC Exceptional Arms Magazine that was published in 2003. They list it as ''Vallee a French emigrant settled in Philadelphia in 1826 on the corner of 2nd and Walnut streets and opened a shop in the three-story building that eventually became the John Krider gunshop. It was also exhibited at the National fireams museum.'' A very fine and rare example of an American-made percussion pistol. (See Exceptional Arms AS of AC Dec. 2003 page 11.) Condition: All metal is sharp and crisp. The barrels still retain light brown twist pattern turning grey. Breech plugs have a nice untouched dark patina. Locks and hammers evenly match the breech plugs. Stock has untouched dark patina.
