Plaque inside drawer states "limited edition". Decorated with a relief carved American Eagle, from pine timbers of the Orlop deck of the US Frigate Constitution, launched in 1797 and reconditioned at the Boston Navy Ship yard 1929. Also has Berkley & Gay metal tag inside drawer. Table measures approx. 29" tall x 30" wide x 18 1/8" deep. American Renaissance Revival Burled Walnut and Walnut Three-Piece Bedroom Suite, third quarter 19th century, attributed to Berkey & Gay, Grand Rapids, Michigan, comprised of a high-back bedstead, a deep-well dresser and a nightstand, of exhibition quality, each piece echoing the thematic elements found on the other pieces, the bed with an architecturally modeled crest, the headboard with an arched burlwood panel flanked by incised classical pilasters and rectilinear beveled panels, the posts with detached columns employing the same theme as the pilasters, the burled and paneled rails joined to the footboard with arched and burled top rail, the corners with columnar posts, h. 107", inside w. 60-1/2", outside w. 71", l. 86", the dressing bureau with an architecturally modeled crest en suite with the bed and a matching full-length mirror supported by a pair of pedestals, each with three drawers and a burled pagoda-form top supporting a singularly conceived circular stand, h. 108-3/4", w. 62-1/4", the nightstand with a concealed lift-top on a cove-molded platform, with a drawer over bag drawers and a cupboard below, h. 34-1/4", w. 19-1/2", d. 18-1/2".
