Plaque inside drawer states "limited edition". Decorated with a relief carved American Eagle, from pine timbers of the Orlop deck of the US Frigate Constitution, launched in 1797 and reconditioned at the Boston Navy Ship yard 1929. Also has Berkley & Gay metal tag inside drawer. Table measures approx. 29" tall x 30" wide x 18 1/8" deep. Priestley Turk's-head sideboard, Gothic Revival with highly figured mahogany veneers throughout, five-drawer frieze above Gothic arch doors flanked by carved pilasters with finely detailed Turk's heads, tapered reeded bodies and feet, brass paw feet, Baltimore, attributed to Edward Priestley, 1815-1825, 44 x 84 x 28 in. Restored throughout with rebuilding and replacements to secondary woods, edge patches to central doors, backboards replaced, some restoration to carved feet of pilasters, probably original brass paw feet, normal cracks, separations and repairs to veneers throughout.
